Obyek wisata ini berada di wilayah administrasi Kecamatan Kalipuro Kabupaten Banyuwangi, letaknya yang berada di perlintasan jalur yang menghubungkan Banyuwangi dan Situbondo membuat obyek wisata ini sangat mudah diakses baik dari arah Situbondo maupun dari arah Banyuwangi kota. Dari arah Banyuwangi kota ke obyek wisata ini dapat ditempuh dengan jarak 14 kilometer ke arah utara. Atau sekitar kurang lebih 5 kilometer dari pelabuhan ketapang. Pada hari hari libur watu dodol selalu dipadati pengunjung. Karena letaknya berada di tepi jalan poros Banyuwangi – Situbondo, watu dodol biasa dijadikan tempat peristirahatan sejenak setelah menempuh perjalanan jauh.
Selain menikmati indahnya panorama laut, pengunjung dapat pula mendaki bukit yang letaknya hanya bersebrangan jalan, di bukit ini telah disediakan track untuk dilewati oleh pengunjung. Sesampai di atas bukit, pengunjung dapat melihat panorama selat Bali yang lebih luas dan indah.
Untuk masalah makanan dan minuman, di pantai wisata ini telah tersedia warung-warung yang menyediakan berbagai makanan dan minuman. Selain itu juga terdapat kios-kios souvenir yang menyediakan barang-barang kerajinan berbahan baku dari kerang kerangan dan batu batuan laut.
